Annual Altered Books Show and Silent Auction Fundraiser

Always the last Saturday in August, this Silent Auction showcases the creative spirit of artists from around the area who transform books into beautiful works of art.  From wall hangings to sculpture, this show always seems to amaze.

A Message about Altered Books 2020

In response to the scheduled Altered Books Show and Silent Auction and COVID-19, the Friends of the Copper Queen LIbrary has issued the following statement to artists.

"Dear Artist : Normally at the time, we send you information for submission of artwork to the Friends of the Library Annual Altered Books fundraiser.  We would still like to have the show on Saturday, August 29th, but, with uncertainties brought on by COVID19, we can’t guarantee this date as of today.  Please continue to work on your art with that date in mind.  Should we have to reschedule, the event will most likely be moved to September or October because of the Central School calendar.  Thank you for your support and we look forward to being together at this year’s 10th Anniversary." -- The Friends of the Copper Queen Library.

Check out the Altered Books Facebook Page here.

This year’s Altered Books Show will by on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 5 - 8 PM at the Central School, 43 Howell Avenue in Old Bisbee.
