I was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1949. My father was in the Air Force and as a result I had the opportunity to travel and live in numerous locations in the United States. I graduated from High School in 1967 from O’Fallon Township High School in O’Fallon Illinois. I earned a BS in Elementary Education at the University of Illinois in 1971, and a MBA from Western New England College in 1977.
I worked as an Education Counselor for the Air Force for several years before joining the Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in 1979. I served at 9 different locations both in the states and overseas. I retired after 22 + years in the rank of Lt Colonel.
I moved to Bisbee in October 2001 and embarked on a new career working for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Program of Cochise County, a program where volunteers advocate for the best interest of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect. After working in the program for over 12 years I retired in March 2015 from the position of Program Manager.
I was first elected to the Bisbee City Council as a councilmember in August 2014 starting my term in December 2014. I run because I wanted to make a difference in the community. I was re-elected in 2016 for a four year term
I have been involved in several organizations to give back to the community to include being a board member of the Bisbee Boys and Girls Club; Bisbee Rotary Club Charities Treasurer as well as Past President and President for the 2015-2016 year; Treasurer of the Bisbee Council for the Arts and Humanities Board, Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc.
