Solstead, a local nonprofit whose mission is to help people live a sustainable lifestyle, is partnering with the library to offer art workshops for children at the San Jose Library Annex. It’s the season of giving and showing thanks, and what gift is better than something made from the heart? Learn how to create something simple that shows how much you care for someone by personalizing it in two different workshops. We may not all have money, but we all have love and lots of ideas!
Friday, November 1 : Bundles of Bookmarks –
Make and laminate bookmark to give away to family and friends for this season’s holidays. Use pressed petals, cutouts, collage, and more to create one of a kind page keepers for loved ones.

And mark your calendars for three Fridays in December and help make the Library come alive with winter spirit by working on projects that bring winter fun inside.
