The Arizona Chapter of Kids Need to Read and Grow Your Library are partnering with the Copper Queen Library this spring by donating over 700 children’s books to the San Jose Library Annex!  Founded with a passion to improve the lives of disadvantaged children by providing inspiring book collections and engaging literacy programs to underfunded schools, libraries, and organizations across the nation, Kids Need to Read aspires to empower and embolden every last child through a culture of reading.  The organization will also be featured at the library’s upcoming Ice Cream Social, which will be held on Friday, May 8th from Noon to 2:00 PM at the San Jose Annex.  They will be bringing their Page Coach full of  children’s books and Highlights Magazines to give away at the event.  They will also be hosting a story hour during the annual literacy event.  Stay tuned for more information!
